Position: Network Voice Engineer (Avaya Engineer)

Location : Buffalo City, NY, Union City, OH

Duration : 6 months

Job Description

Network Voice – Avaya L2 (Onsite)

Profile Summary:

·         4+ years of experience in supporting and managing of voice solutions based on Avaya TDM and IP platforms. (Legacy and CM systems)

·         Understanding of Survivability, Availability and Deployment options in Avaya.

·         Must know various routing options within an Avaya PBX system or Key system.

·         Excellent understanding of Avaya ACD - Call Center Elite.

·         Excellent understanding of  H.323/SIP/H.248/ISDN

·         Excellent understanding of DC infrastructure, Patch Panel Installations and Circuit Pack/Media Module Terminations or Wiring.

·         ACSS certification (Preferred)

·         ITIL V3 (Preferred)

Technical skills:

Hands-on experience on the following products:

·         Avaya Partner ACS, Merlin Magix and Merlin Legend Systems

·         Avaya S87xx/S88xx/S85xx/S83xx Media Servers

·         Avaya G3R, G3Si, G3CSi systems

·         MCC, SCC cabinets and  G650/G450/G700 Media Gateways

·         Intuity Audix, IA770, Inuity LX, Partner Mail, Partner Messaging.

·         Avaya CMS

Hands-on experience or Excellent Understanding of the following :

·         Programming System Options and Centralized Telephone Programming.

·         Uniform Dial-plan, AAR, ARS, Route Patterns

·         Programming of VDNs, Vectors, and Hunt-groups.

·         Adding telephone features or user features.

·         Troubleshooting of issues related to ISDN, CO, Tie, IP, SIP trunks.

·         Functions of Circuit pack, Media Modules, Line/Extension Modules.

·         Basic Administration of Avaya CMS.

·         Administration of Auto-attendants, Bulletin Boards, Announcements.

·         Voice Mail Administration and Maintenance.

·         Understanding of ACD integration with Call Recording solutions.

Hands-on experience on the following maintenance and other activities

·         Perform Maintenance back up on PBX systems and voice mail systems.

·         Perform Maintenance activities on Partner ACS, Merlin Magix & Legend systems

·         Firmware upgrades of Media Modules and Circuit packs

Others:

·         Excellent Customer Interaction skills

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills.

·         Excellent vendor co-ordination skills.

·         Experience in managing critical situations.
